Nope... no can do... I am flying to L.A for my job not for leisure... I GOTTA fly back on Wednesday... This is sick!!!!!!!

Too bad to miss all these great combined-concerts . In 1997 , i had the pleasure to see The Time , Gap Band AND Zapp in one night . The Dutch Drum Rhythm Festival in Amsterdam did a big favour with that . Cameo visited one of the last Annuals of that festival . I just found a review on the web , including the concert in audio ! :shock:

I was on the front row . Had a short rap with Charlie . The bomb that they played the brand-new-fresh "You Make Me Crazy" , but i'm absolutely shure that they also played " You're A Winner " (1983) . I remember my amazement , because i NEVER heard them play that live .

I was THERE TOO!!! I was with my Dutch Funk Buddies The Twinns...
That concert was awesome... GAP BAND tore the roof off the sucker...
But all were good... There was also THe Roots in another room but I didn't like the sound that much...
We must have been close from each other as I am ALWAYS on the first row LOL

The Zapp-circus was hilarious :lol:

The thundering opening with the band electric-slidin' on Lakeside's "Fantastic Voyage". Bigg Robb and his outfits + bubble-machine , and Nicole Cottom singing Cheryl Lynn's "Got To Be Real" . It overwhelmed me . Un4gettable . The Time was also tight & locked . The Gappers closed the evening brilliant .
The day before i saw Charlie ( and i think Val Young ) performing with Snoop .

Yep ZAPP were always hilarious... :cry: :cry: Too bad it ended like it did...
Roger was a clown on stage and off stage too. Everytime I had the pleasure of interviewing him he was fantastic and always fun to talk with...
A great loss...

Good memory Skyy, you're right... Just listen to it this morning in my car... "You're a Winner" last less than 2 minutes I think and it's just played after "I Got Your Image" (will had it in the playlist...) :wink:
