I'll pass on the compliments to Mr. Felty. I'm sure he'll appreciate them.
@ Bronco - Let's do a gig together next time I'm in France. I know I've terribly neglected your side of Europe ... the last time I was in Paris was when I played with RAMP two years ago. I was gonna come with Sir Joe Quarterman later this month, but it's spring break over here - and I promised the kids to take them to NYC. Family first!

I'm listening to the whole show right now, Kings Go Forth sound fantastic, can't believe my ears, so soulful and funky ! top notch band ! wow !! I just love it !
very interesting interview with Andy, who seems to be a funk-soul records addict as we are, you were right about that Mandrill-like mid-tempo ballad
can't wait to have this LP !!!
this is da bomb !

You're right, I think the KGF album is one of the best new Soul/Funk releases of the past 20 years. I think many people in France are not hip to them yet ... but wait until they'll come to Europe for the first time this fall, and everyone will be raving about them.

Amigo, i had good feedback when i spun KGF in my show back in march.
Just to let you know that in France the 7" ONE DAY is in demand by most of soul collectors.
Some believe it was recorded in the 70's :)
Anyway, the lp is a stormer!
Hear KGF mixed with Curtis Mayfield:

^ Nice one, bro. Thanks for the link.
"One Day" is in demand everywhere - here in the U.S., too. I rarely see it for under $100, and the band has been selling a few spare copies for the same price to pay for their trip to SXSW ...
We're happy to have the play for us in a couple of weeks ...
