"Some DVD news:
1) A double DVD set titled "Secret Recipe" salutes guitarist Buckethead. It features narration by Bootsy Collins. One section of the DVD includes music videos in which Buckethead has "appeared," including Bootsy's videos for "Funk Express Card" and "If 6 Was 9." At this point, the DVDs have not been officially released. It isn't clear whether they are scheduled for official release or whether distribution will be limited to fans.
I'm afraid that I don't know where to find copies of "Secret Recipe." :-(
2) On May 31, Eagle Rock Entertainment is scheduled to release "Live at Montreux," a 2-1/2 hour DVD of George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic's show at last year's festival. There's good news and bad news about the DVD.
I'll start with the good news: It looks as though Bernie was at the Montreux show.
Now for the bad news: The description suggests that the performance has been "sliced and diced" and that portions will appear in a "bonus segment."
Let's all hope the butchers -- I mean editors -- do a decent splice job.
