Hey Cameosis , i couldn't find the Fash record-info , so i'm not sure if this is the real Kevin playing on that record .
I have a few Dazz Band albums on which Kevin played and wrote :
_Invitation To Love - 1980/Motown
-keyboards
-writing-credits for : Carry On/Do It Again/Sooner Or Later
_Let The Music Play - 1981/Motown
-keyboards
-writing-credits : Let The Music Play/What Will I Do Without You/I Believe In You
_Here We Go Again - 1998/Intersound Urban
-keyboards
The Larry Blackmon solo-album was gonna be titled : " Product/Voice Of America" . As far as i know , the release was first planned for 1986 , later for 1989 . What's in the archives from this album ?
Cameosis , besides Jermaine Jackson ... were anything from these Blackmon-productions recorded or archived ?
- Gillian
- Hips - female trio from Atlanta
- Miki Howard
- Organised Crime
- Tity Brothers ( Nathan & Arnette Leftenant )
- unfinished work with Chaka Khan
Before Stargasm , Charlie Singleton played , sang and co-wrote on Billy Cobham's album " Simplicity Of Expression , Depth Of Thought "-1977/CBS.

Charlie's 1985-composition " Earth To Micki " (from his first album ) has been recorded again by Chaka Khan , in 1986 .
I never saw any video from Charlie ... which ones do excist ?
Were these "I Wanna Boogie With You"-co-writers also Stargasm-members and what instruments did they play ? : Rick Darnell / Sammy Stewart
Peabo Bryson albums which Cameosis wrote about before :
I have these albums :
_Crosswinds - 1978/Capitol
- Thomas "T.C." Campbell - keyboards
_Don't Play With Fire - 1982/Capitol
- Anthony Lockett - guitar on "Give Me Your Love" / "Go For It" (super-album-opening track!) / Turn It On

- trax : " The Only One " - written by Larry / " Earland's Jam " - written by Larry & Anthony ( the BlackLock-team! :o) )
- cameo-appearances : Larry/Aaron/Anthony/Gregory & T.C.
One of my favourite Aaron Mills-jamz is " Spread The Word " , which he co-wrote on Kevin Toney's album " Special K "-1982/Fantasy :
Aaron's bass in this track sounds AWESOME deep & heavy ! ... did he use a MusicMan-bass ?
-Also he co-wrote : Chasin' Rainbows
-Lead vocals : Chasin' Rainbows / On Your Feet / Red Tape
-Jeryl Bright on background-vocals

More TV Appearances :
The Tube / U.K. - 1985 (BBC Network)
This was a tv-music-show , presented by Jools Holland & Paula Yates .
In those days , the show was refreshing , because all the artists performed live in the studio . Currently , Jools has his own tv-version on the BBC , called "Later with Jools Holland" (mostly on Saturday-night).
Anyway , Larry & Crew were doing a U.K.-tour in 1985 , organised by Alec Leslie's company .
Besides Larry , Tomi and Nathan , i recognised :

Segments from "Modern Drummer"-magazine :
-"Nowadays Moffett shares his touring time with Cameo, a group he’s been associated with for twenty-five years."
-Jonathan: "I used one bass drum most of my life. I didn’t start getting into double bass until the ’81 Jacksons tour. That’s when I got my first double bass drum kit. I just started learning it then. And in ’84 I used two separate drums on the Victory tour. On Madonna’s first tour I used one bass drum. Then in ’86 with Jermaine Jackson I used two bass drums again. On my first tour with Cameo, in ’82, Larry Blackmon, Cameo’s leader—he was also the drummer—would have me play on his Tama kit, which had concert toms and double bass drums."

Okay , another concert-experience :
_From the "She's Mine"-Tour , 22 October/1987 , Escape Theatre/Amsterdam/Netherlands
- the show started way past midnite ! ... the crowd was hyped
- this was their loudest concert i've ever heard
- the curtain went up , the stage was dark ... then a thundering voice bursted into the room : .... " AMSTERDAAAAAMMMMM !!!!! ... are you ready to jump and shout !!! .... to turn tha motha out !!! .... put your hands together ... for CAMEO !!!!!! "
- the stage-lights flashed on, with a full-armed band on stage . Aaron & Charlie came up marching to the front on the heavy intro from keyboards & drums ( drum-kit was placed on a high platform with a silver-shiny Cameo-logo )
- Nathan was a strong MC that nite ... he gave the opening-signal of a amazing Cameo-rollercoaster :
1.Alligator Woman/Keep it Hot
2. Larry welcoming the audience
3. Secrets Of Time ( Larry on drums )
4. Back & Forth
5. Flirt ( the BEST version i saw / i wrote about it in the topic "Cameo at Mohegan Sun in Conneticut Jan. 15th", from Joe Kelley)
6. solo : Bruce Carter (drummer from the band Pleasure )
7. solo : Aaron ( outrageously slapping )
8. solo : Charlie ( power-blues )
9. keyboard-intro by Kevin
10. Don't Be Lonely ( sax-solo by Melvin )
11. Sparkle ( sung by Willie Morris , nicknamed by Nathan as "the chill factor"/ right after this MC Nate ask the crowd if they enjoyed it so far ... then , he told everyone : "no matter how well you've been told ... it's how SLOW you go" ... followed by an infectious groove of ...
... 12. Slow Movin'
13. Talkin' Out The Side Of Your Neck
14. keyboard-intro by Kevin
15. Attack Me With Your Love
16. Candy ( sax-solo by Melvin )

On behalf of my friend Ken, some interesting news from Mister T:
[] Well, we're still working over here. And we're putting a DVD package together for our 30th(!!) anniversary next year. We want to include a live show as well as documentary footage and pictures. Interviews with various artists we've met and performed with over the years. There's a chance we can make a small film and release it. We're pumped! I'm still doing my solo record and we're in the studio now doing tracks for a Cameo record this year. I'm also involved in other projects here in LA with a jazz artist. He's play's vibes. I'm writing and singing on a few tracks. I here we're doing a six week summer tour in Europe with Mother's Finest(don't know if you heard of them, a black rock act) and Living Color. I haven't heard anything definite yet, but I'll let you guys know.
Well, take care Ken
talk to ya soon.
Tomi
I wonder who is the jazz vibe artist ? Anybody we know ? An old cat like Bobby Hutcherson ? or a Stephon Harris maybe ?
The dvd package looks really interesting
Groups like Mandrill or Brothers Johnson had their own live dvd out lately, it's just fair enough CAMEO finally get a kick ass dvd too ! And not one of these lame Universal best of videos

Hi & thanx Funkygirl , i'm amazed by the information from all the devoted people here on the forum .
From the first moments i heard Cameo's work and saw them live , i've been hooked ... and that's where my quest began to find holy-grails from Cameolot
Have a nice 2nd Easterday and i will get on doing the "funky chicken".

You're damm right skyflow. However like FG is sayin, let's wait and see. Chicky Tomi often make definitive statements about dvd and album release
LEt's just hope this will come out this time

Have a landing party of funkateers beamed down immediately with phasers set on funk funk, soul soul, and jazz jazz.

So Cameosis I wrote to Tomi to talk about the future website today so... You must wait a little more but I'm not forgetting... As you said I worked since 2 years now on it to made it well and I won't forget it as the harder work (write all and found time, all the informations and illustrations, bought the record to have an advice... ) has been made now
So Tomi answered to me and said (as Soulseb already share with us) that the group is currently in Atlanta recording the new Cameo record...
Tomi said also to me that he recorded new tracks for his 2nd Solo lp...
They planed a 30th anniversary Dvd for next year
I post you the end of his message...
"Live show, classic videos, backstage footage and comments from as many people we've worked with in Cameo and the groups we've performed with. It's real ambitious and it's gonna be off the hook! An interactive website is also planned.
Well, take care Corinne and tell everyone hi for us.
Peace.
Tomi"

I've just seen this Cameo's Laserdisc on ebay's auctions but unfortunately the seller does not accept to ship outside US and Canada (he confirmed it to me right now!!)
It would have been great to get that stuff, true?
Sorry for the bad image quality, it comes from the seller...
