Que veux-tu savoir à part que c'est un excellent groupe qui n'a pas eu la carrière qu'il méritait (c'est fréquent avec les groupes d'acid-jazz !) ?
Ca sonne vraiment "britannique", autant par le groove que par les voix. Leur musique est dans un registre "spy-movies soundtracks" de qualité. Je ne leur connais pas grand chose de mauvais et pour te mettre en bouche le plus simple est de démarrer par un best of (en général pas chers du tout pour ce groupe).
Je te conseille celui-ci, tu ne seras pas déçu

Personnellement j'ai eu le plaisir de decouvrir Corduroy en 93 avec la sortie du tres bon maxi 'motorhead'.
Un an ou deux apres arrive 'High Havoc', l'album, totalement dans le registre acid-jazz anglais, aux relents de 60's pop acidules. Frranchement le rendu est special mais dur de rester insensible. Surtout que l'energie qui s'en degage est vraiment impressionante, et le niveau des zicos est aussi au rendez-vous ;-)

´Fab Guiro!´ is beat music in a fascinating, exotic robe, a drum roll of liverpudlian song pearls. The songs of the Beatles on ´Fab Guiro!´
do actually sound like copacabana, cuba and kingston – but always like the english harbour town in the summer – northern songs in a southern style are indeed warm songs, ´Fab Guiro!´ simply means lots of fun, entertainment and thus celebrates our heroes.
´Fab Guiro!´ has been made with the help and contribution by these fine musicians and bands: Lead-singer Mayka Edyole from The Sweet Vandals (Madrid), the vibes-player Alexander Maczewski & percussionist Kay Vester from the Duesseldorf based jazz-outfit Lex Eazy & The Mambo Club – who have re-recorded classic songs from the Unique catalogue already for our 100th release as mambo versions.
