Hey guys .. let`s leave all your personal issues out of this, k? It`s al about music .. nothing else matters. The audience doesn`t care about what`s going on behind the scenes, and for the record, we don`t care either. We are cool with everybody!

(You don't know some public comment made recently about Funkhome Pari...
So you can't understand... For sure, stay out of this, it's better
)
That was my conclusion and what I have already said
For your information, I have already made an announce in French about that concert....

First Review from Hamburg
"Hey everybody....a short report of the Martha High & Lyn Collins show in Hamburg....
Ready to get some funk, Ron aka JB collector No. 1, his wife Von aka Roncollector No. 1 and myself jumped in the car
near Nijmegen and Ron drove his bolide all the way to Hamburg. I can tell you: it looks like a small distance on the roadmap,
but in reality it's a hell of a trip (5 hours). We'd located our hotel very soon and we took a cap to the Mandarin Casino Club in the famous Reeperbahn area. Overthere we met DJ Pari and DJ Baba who'd set up the tour (check out www.soulpower.info to see what a great job they're doing) and "Mr B." who is one of the biggest JB collectors in Germany.
Then we ran into Miss Lyn Collins and Miss Martha High who were very kind to us and shared all their food and drink with us. Ron got them both a nice present: a DVD of Soultrain 1973 and other rare live footage. After a while we left the ladies to give them a little rest and we did spend 2 hours in a good restaurant with sume funky burgers.
Showtime was around 23:00. When we arrived earlier that day, the venue had a " brickyard " vibe, but after our visit to the restaurant we found ourselves a large crowd in line at the front of the venue. Inside, they turned the venue into one of the most funky venue's I've ever seen. Orange lights, brown walls 70's chairs and tables and a very funky stage. Soon the place was packed and the Soulpower All Stars started with....logical...." Soulpower " followed by " Doin It To Death ". Then Martha High joined the band and she was EXCELLENT. For years she could always be found behind performers like James Brown and Maceo Parker, but she gave us proove she's a queen on her own. Now, I saw loads of pop/funkacts already, but this time you could also hear real SOUL music. And I mean real SOUL music. I guess Martha showed us her heart.........
Martha was on stage for one hour doing several tracks like " Wang Dang Doodle ", " I Rather Go Blind " and " Showdown ".
After Martha left the stage, the Soulpower All Stars got into " Doing It To Death " for the second time and Miss Lyn Collins joined the band. She started with da classic " Rock Me Again, Again, Again, Again, Again, Again " giving the audience a great performance. The Female Preacher - appearantly a big inspiration for the current generation > many young Hamburger girls in the audience - did a very emotional lovesong and even lost some tears herself. She did a great version of " If You Don't Know Me By Now ", " Mama Feelgood " and last but not least: " Think (About It) ". To be honest: I didn't like the way it was played by the band. They used a slapbass, so the bottom of the song wasn't strong like on the record.
The encore was both Martha and Lyn doing " If You Don't Work " and a long and beautiful version of " Summertime ". At that time I lost contact with the ground.....at least I THOUGHT. Because at that moment I didn't know about ANOTHER moment a little later: after the show we talked to Lyn in the dressingroom. I mentioned that she didn't play " Never Gonna Give You Up " so she took my hand and started singing this one for me. Good she got my hand otherwise they would have found me sumewhere at the ceiling. So yeah.....if you ask me: you prefer young Hamburger girls ? My answer from now on will be: hmmm...could be, but I really prefer mature woman with soul................
We got back the next day, glad we experienced the High & Collins thang ! Thank you DJ Pari, Ron, Von and Heinrich !
Keep that funk alive ! With your soul..............
Greetings,
sTeve"
