Cameo just played in Chicago at the AFRICAN FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS

Unfortunately it seems that they played right after the Stylistics and therefore the audience was pretty musch asleep or should I say mellowed out... so Cameo had a bit of a hard time waking up those suckers! LOL
Still they funked the whole bunch anyway!

All right... it seems that our man on the spot was not close enough to get all the names right but he definitely told me that these cats were there :

Jeryl & nat are on a cd project called Bright Leftenant!!

I finally bought Charlie Singleton double cd 'Phantom of Hip-opera'...

I must admit I'm quite happy with it . Because it's quite long and has lots of different style, lots of interludes, it's a bit hard to digest though...It's tough to listen to the whole thing in 1 go: so i think it's best to explore tracks here and there.

There are some very very nice moments Can't remember the tracklist and am not familiar enough with the song titles yet but the cover of Stevie Wonder's 'all i do' comes to mind as a nice one.

Charlie's voice has never sounded better.

I had a little hand written note from Charlie with the cd. Thought it was pretty cool from him
