One of the all-time great voices of soul, Al Green, brings his joyous musical tour de force to Sydney for the first time.
Green’s extraordinary voice became known to the world through a string of hits in the early 1970s like ‘Let’s Stay Together’ and ‘Love and Happiness’. These songs are etched into the minds of generations of music fans.
In a career spanning more than four decades, the minister of L-O-V-E has sold over 20 million albums, won 11 Grammy Awards, been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and is the recipient of a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
