Correction: The new Sir Joe Quarterman track we're playing tonight is not with the Dap Kings, but the Menahan Street Band, which is a Daptone act consisting of members of the Dap Kings. Just wanted to set it straight.

Bataclan is too big for Sir Joe. Yeah, maybe New Morning. We'll see. Definitely booking Marva Whitney & Osaka Monaurail back to Paris this November. I'll publish the dates next month or so.

Yeah, RAMP will come back at some point. The problem is that all members live at very different parts of the country, so the recording/writing process for the album is slow.

What venue would you suggest for Sir Joe?
Btw, who's booking at Batofar now? Raphy isn't there anymore.

What if we brought Sir Joe to France? Would he get an audience - besides you lame wankers?

Sir Joe gave us a brand new track to play on tonight's show - a track he recorded with the mighty Dap-Kings, which has not been released yet and has never been played on radio. This one's gonna be a Funk bomb!

well I never knew Satchmo did such stuff!!! It's from his very last album, which was produced by Bob Thiele and released on Flying Dutchman. A pretty obscure album, including Leon Thomas and Louis doing a duet on "The Creator has a Masterplan". Hard to find, but very much worth picking up...
